LOCATION: Tikona fort Wageshwar temple 7 kms, Kamshet to Wagheshwar Temple 26 kms, 126 kms from Mumbai via kamshet, 72 kms from Pune.
Best time to visit: (March-June)
The Wagheshwar Temple is located at Pawna Lake (just 7 kms away from Tikona fort). This temple is famous in Pavna Lake reason behind it only visible for 3 to 4 months depends on pawna lake water otherwise still underwater for rest of the year.
Pawna Lake is surrounded by many historic places, forts like Tung, Tikona , Visapur, lohagad.
The old Wagheshwar Temple, Pawna Lake is the proof of how Historical Pawna Lake. It is Great Lord Shiva's temple built in Pandavas Era. The Wagheshwar Temple, Pawna Lake has seen 6-7 Centuries.
Evidences Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Swarajya and also witnessed British Empire. In Last 3 to 5 year’s traveller add this temple in their bucket list of travelling and exploring.
