In a year 1686 Aurangzeb, won battle against Adil shah dynasty and won Vijayapura.
Maratha Empire Madhav Rao peshwa won battle against Hyderabad Nizam Shai an in year 1786 and Martha empire flag hoisted in Vijayapura.
After 100 years later in year 1886 they establish Marathi Jubilee school (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Marathi School (Vijayapura (Bijapur)).
In 1950 school rename as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Marathi School (Vijayapura (Bijapur) where highly dominated by Aurangzeb, Adil shah dynasty, Nizam Shai having mostly and commonly speak Kannada language.
It’s amazing to see still today Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Marathi School (Vijayapura (Bijapur) fully functional and teachers teaches them Marathi, Kannada, Gujarati languages.
The school lies in between Malik-E-Maidan and Upali buruj.
School started in 1886 and in 1892 they had first inspection according to that from class 1 to 4th standard around they had 150 students. And out of that 71 students only pass that exam since exam is so though at that time.
At the time of British era Maths and Science plays important role in there era. At that time from 1st to 7th standard they had 900 students and 35 teaches gradated at there time.
In 1948 prime minister Pandit jawar Lal Nehru and Indra Gandhi visited Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Marathi School (Vijayapura (Bijapur).
